How to switch from Pipedrive
What transfers
You'll bring across People (contacts) and Organizations (companies)—names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, custom fields. Note: activities, notes and files linked to deals and contacts are exported separately by Pipedrive and don't come across in a plain contacts CSV.
1. Export from Pipedrive
In the left menu, click “...” (More) → Export data. Pick the entity—People or Organizations. Choose CSV (or Excel) and hit Export. The file appears in the Generated exports list; download it via the download icon. A full export can only be run by an admin. Want just part of it? In the People list view, set a filter, pick columns via the gear icon, and choose Export filter results under “...”.
2. Watch the encoding (UTF-8)
Accented names can occasionally break. If they do, open the CSV in Excel and save it again as CSV UTF-8.
3. Import into Lemnio
In Lemnio, open the importer and upload the CSV. For data from Pipedrive, the universal importer recognises the source and pre-fills the field mapping. You check the preview and confirm.

Will I lose my data in Pipedrive?+
No. An export is just a copy—everything stays intact in Pipedrive until you choose to cancel your account.
Do I need admin rights?+
For a full export from Pipedrive, yes. If you don't have admin access, an admin can generate the export file for you to download.
Will my activities and notes transfer over too?+
A standard contact export won't include them, as Pipedrive exports activities separately. Your address book (People, Organizations) transfers seamlessly, and your relationship timeline in Lemnio will build naturally as you work.
How long does the process take?+
Both exporting and importing take just a few minutes. Most of that time is simply spent reviewing the data preview before confirming.
